Understanding loudness with NUGEN Audio
For this online seminar, we’re joined by NUGEN Audio Product Specialist Freddy Vinehill-Cliffe for an overview of loudness in (almost) all its forms.
This talk will attempt to demystify loudness terminology, loudness standards, when to consider those standards, when to ignore them, and how to use them to your advantage when producing audio for music streaming sites, physical music formats, and TV/film. You don’t need to be a loudness whizz to attend, but a knowledge of audio terminology and an understanding of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) is preferred.
Based in Leeds, NUGEN Audio is the plug-in developer responsible for the industry standard loudness meter VisLM.
The seminar will take place via Zoom; attendees will receive a private link through the email used for booking in advance of the event. Tickets are free and space is limited. Please get in touch by emailing info@yorkshiresoundwomen.com if you have any access requirements that would make it easier for you to enjoy this event.
In line with YSWN’s aims, this seminar is intended for an audience of women and people of minority genders – we ask that you respect this when booking tickets and do not deny someone else a place if you are not among this group.
