A course which encompasses the challenge of drawing and the excitement of print!

With a focus on the human figure, the aim of this course is improving life drawing skills and developing a spontaneous, confident approach to printmaking. Complete beginners or those with some prior experience are equally welcome. With guidance and support from the tutor, by the end of the course each student will have achieved the following outcomes:

– Developed skills in observational drawing

– Increased confidence in drawing using a variety of materials

– Knowledge of monoprinting and drypoint printmaking techniques and equipment, and the work of other artists

– Completion of a set of drawings and prints

Andrew Hambleton is a studio holder at West Yorkshire Print Workshop, and accomplished printmaker with a wealth of experience and expertise under his belt. He exhibits his monoprints, etchings and drypoints widely around the UK, and was awarded the Hot Bed Press prize at the National Open Print Exhibition in London in 2014.
