PRINTS AND POEMS! Drop-in Printmaking Workshops in Cleckheaton

10 - 4 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 20th December

Hosted by West Yorkshire Print Workshop, the theme for the next two weeks will be PRINTS AND POEMS!

Come along to our pop-up printmaking workshop and make prints inspired by poems! Artists Kathryn Desforges and Louise Crosby will be on-hand to help and guide you. A variety of printmaking techniques will be used which are suitable for all ages and abilities. (Children must be supervised by an adult).

Come along and choose from a selection of poems, (or short excerpts), to use as a starting point for creating your own original print, or bring along your own poems to work from. Spend 5 minutes making a quick print, or a few hours creating and printing your own hand made printing plate. Your work can be displayed on the wall in the shop for the duration of the workshops and when finished, we will bind the remaining prints together to make a unique artist book, which will be displayed in West Yorkshire Print Workshop’s Gallery.

Kathryn Desforges is an artist, printmaker and Print Studio Co-ordinator at West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield and makes original prints and artist books. Louise Crosby is a printmaker, illustrator and teacher whose project, ‘Seeing Poetry’ uses comics to illustrate poetry.
