Screen Printing: Paper – Taster Session – June

In June, spend an evening learning #screenprinting, where ink is pushed through a frame covered in a fine mesh, (the ‘screen’), onto a surface underneath, using a ‘squeegee’. Learners will be guided through the process of creating layered colour prints, using simple hand-cut paper stencils which block or ‘mask’ out areas of the screen.

Our new taster sessions offer an introduction to some of the key printmaking techniques offered and practiced here at WYPW, and a glimpse into the processes involved in creating hand-made prints. You will be guided and encouraged by experienced artists who use printmaking in their own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
