Drypoint & the Human Figure – May
Sat 11 May
£60 - Day workshop
11.30 - 4.30
Tutor: Sumiko Eadon
We welcome back visiting tutor Sumiko Eadon for this day workshop which focuses on the intaglio printmaking process of drypoint in relation to the human figure.
The workshop runs alongside our exhibition ‘The Human Figure’, showcasing work by WYPW members who work figuratively. Participants on this course will learn how to make and print from a perspex drypoint plate, working from their own sketchbook drawings or photographs, and produce a small edition of prints to take home. Drypoint printing involves cutting and scratching into a plate surface to create line and texture. When inked-up, these areas hold the ink and transfer to the paper to create a printed image.
