Printing an Industrial Past: Printmaker’s Toolkit Session – December
Morning session
Tuesday 4th December 2018
10.30 – 11.30
£10.00
For our December PTK session we are delighted to welcome printmaker, WYPW member and 2017 #FlourishAward shortlisted artist Clare Phelan. Clare uses found objects of coding technologies to create collagraphs and etching which reference an industrial past. In this informal talk/demo session Clare will talk about the evolution of her work, and demonstrate some of the processes she uses to create her prints.
Having completing a Visual Arts MA (distinction) from Bradford College in 2013, Clare now works from her printmaking studio in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. During 2017 she was awarded the ‘People’s Choice’ Intaglio Printmaker’s prize at the Flourish Award for Excellence in Printmaking, and was also a recipient of the ‘Art&’ RAW Talent Award, for emerging artists.
