FREE Carnival Mask Making- spring workshop, for Children Ages 8 - 12

Taking place next Thursday!

“Design and make your own colourful carnival mask, in the style of traditional Venetian masquerades.
Use a variety of materials to creat your very own master piece!”

Children will make masks using papier mache, wire and card, then explore sumptuous fabrics, ribbons and paint effects. This workshop is inspired by our latest exhibition showcasing work from Shelley Burgoyne's recent residency in Venice.

The workshop is lead by Amy Hirst who has also worked in Venice learning traditional mask making techniques. Children will learn creative skills and develop their communication and social skills in a fun and supportive environment. They will also have the opportunity to work with a professional artist and learn about an exciting and vibrant cultural tradition.
