Flourish Award 2016

The Flourish Award was established in 2009 by West Yorkshire Print Workshop to champion and showcase excellence in printmaking across Yorkshire. The award now provides artists and printmakers from across the UK with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a group exhibition at the WYPW Gallery. The winner of the award goes on to present their own solo print exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery in 2017. The winner also has the opportunity to undertake a two-week residency at WYPW.

Sumi Perera, winner of the Flourish Award 2015, work is on display at Huddersfield Art Gallery from 6 August – 15 October 2016.

This year’s selection panel included Helen Waters, Director at Alan Cristea Gallery; Katherine Jones, Artist/printmaker; and Ruth Gamble, Gallery Manager at Huddersfield Art Gallery.

Shortlisted artists for this year’s Flourish Award will be on display at the WYPW Gallery from 17 September – 29 October.
