Flourish- Award for Excellence In Printmaking

What is the Flourish Award?

The Flourish Award was established in 2009 by West Yorkshire Print Workshop to champion and showcase excellence in printmaking across Yorkshire. The award now provides artists and printmakers from across the UK with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a group exhibition at the WYPW Gallery. The winner of the award goes on to present their own solo print exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery in 2017. (Sumi Perera, Winner of Flourish 2015 will be presenting her solo exhibition at Huddersfield from 6 August - 15 October 2016.) The winner will also have the opportunity to undertake a two-week residency at WYPW.

To enter the forthcoming Flourish Award printmakers must register online and upload up to three images for selection by our independent panel of judges. The registration deadline for this year's award will be announced in the coming weeks.

Artists whose work is shortlisted from this process will be invited to include their work in the six-week long Flourish exhibition held at West Yorkshire Print Workshop, which will run between 17 September - 29 October 2016. During the exhibition our panel of judges will select the winning printmaker- the Flourish Award Printmaker of the Year- and two commended artists

Standard entry fee for the Flourish Award 2016 is £15.
