This short day course will introduce students to three basic book structures. These form the foundation for further, more advanced processes. The course is suitable for complete beginners or for anyone with a little knowledge wishing to learn more.

Over the course of the day you will complete three notebooks, and be taught the correct terminology, alongside hands on tutorials, plus a few tricks of the trade.

Roger Grech is a Bookbinder and Printmaker, teaching at York College and edition Binding at Stephen Conway Bookbinders Ltd in Halifax. Roger also runs his own workshop, Papercut Bindery, where he binds bespoke journals, small print run editions and undertakes repair work on old well loved bindings.
