This course will show you how to make big, bold, colourful linocuts using one A3-size lino block, some simple tools and our large hand-printing press. You will be shown how to make the most of printing from one block, using stencils, masks and blends to build up layers of colour.

Miriam Trent is a surface pattern designer and printmaker living Leeds, West Yorkshire. After graduating in 2010 with an honours degree in Graphic Arts from Leeds Met University she started her own printed products and surface pattern design company Mintprint. In 2011 she won the WYPW Flourish Award for Excellence in Printmaking. Miriam makes striking, bold monoprints and linocut, and loves to spread the printmaking bug around!
