Be part of this year's WOVEN textile festival
The WOVEN textile festival for Kirklees is nearly here. Volunteers are still needed to help make WOVEN 2021 a joyful, interesting and safe experience for everyone. If you live in or near Kirklees and you want to help out go to https://woveninkirklees.co.uk/get-involved/volunteer. There are different ways to get involved in a way that suits you.
Over the next few weeks, help is needed by:
– Knitting and sewing to support the Big Rainbow Knit installation
– Festival admin
– Posting on social media
– Gathering information for a textile timeline of Kirklees
During the festival, which will be taking place over the whole of June, as many people as possible are needed to help with:
– Stewarding and giving information out at activities and key points around Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike
– Chatting to visitors and gathering their feedback about the festival
Your expenses will be covered up to a maximum of £5/day and you'll get training, connections with other volunteers, artists and makers and a massive thank you!
