Recreation of 1896 Night
Step back in time, 120 years, for this wonderful evening of variety and silent film, as we transport you back to 1896 to experience a night of entertainment typically enjoyed by Worthing residents back then.
Join us at the Southern Pavilion, the precise location of the first ever film screening in Worthing, where audiences were treated to the first ever 'electric animated photographs'. Tonight you will experience the same - silent films with variety acts in between.
Performances from Northbrook College Performing Arts Students, Chichester University Musical Theatre Students and many local young dancers and performers will make this a night to remember!
Before the show a commemorative plaque will be unveiled on the Pier to celebrate 120 years of film in Sussex.
