Devon Discussions: Open Space

Wide Awake Devon would like to invite you to join us in our official launch.

Wide Awake Devon hosted three discussion events in April in which live performance makers, arts organisations and venues came together to discuss 'How can we ensure best practice for live performance in Devon?' We want to continue those discussions and allow those who couldn’t make it the first time to join in by posing a new question:

How to create a better live performance ecology in Devon?

This question will be answered using Open Space technology which will give you the chance to set the agenda. In this time where the landscape is changing we think it is important to come together and voice ideas on what you think the landscape should look like.

During this event we hope that action will be instigated with the aim to improving the live performance ecology together as a community.
We feel it is really important to develop these relationships face to face in order for conversation and ideas to grow to enhance collaborative practice.
This event will be followed by an optional performance by Foster & Déchery with Epic. (8pm start)

Wide Awake Devon aims to develop the theatre and dance ecology in Devon by creating access points and support networks for the arts community. We create opportunities for artists to develop face to face relationships, allowing them to share ideas, knowledge, resources and issues with each other as well as with arts organisations and venues. Our events will provide opportunities to devise creative ways to make, produce and promote new work in a productive and collaborative environment.
