Ruth Palmer What's the story?
Ruth founded What's the Story? in 2011 after building a successful brand with her husband, Richard Palmer, www.d3o.com.
Ruth began her career in Graphic Design and views the world very much from a visual perspective. She has worked on brands such as Groovy Chick, Bob The Builder, L'Occitaine plus developed brand identities for numerous startups. Ruth was involved in d3o from the beginning, becoming responsible for all Marketing, Brand and Product Development, defining strategic direction accross multiple markets globally, working with coveted clients such as HEAD, Puma, Louis Vuitton, Spyder and many more co-marketing their products in retail, to the press and at trade shows across the world. As well as designing the original brand identity, Ruth built the d3o brand alongside Richard to be recognised as THE protection technology in the sports market, winning awards such as The Popular Science 'Best of What's New' award and many more. Before she left d3o to explore new challenges Ruth was achieving over 300 press citations and 12 TV appearances a year. Ruth now works as a Marketing consultant to Stylus.com, an inspiration and trend analysis resource for leading companies such as Intel, M&S, Columbia Sportswear, Habitat, The Conran Store and HGTV. Ruth's expertise lies in building comprehensive launch plans for startup brands with big potential, from developing brand identities and communications to detailed marketing strategic marketing plans, and then just as importantly, actioning them.
