Colour in historic homes

We will explore the domestic interior of historic homes: wall paintings, materials and furniture. This day has a series of talks using examples from high and low status homes. From recent research on Henry VII’s marriage bed, to scientific analysis of colour; the evidence of interiors from portraits to historical research into early modern interiors and décor in lesser Georgian and Victorian interiors, we will cover many facets of this topic.
Pre-booking essential.
