84th Welwyn Drama Festival

The 84th Welwyn Drama Festival will be held at the Barn Theatre in Welwyn Garden City, 21st-26th May.

This is a competitive festival for one-act plays, with teams coming from near and far - this year we have two teams from Wales - regular visitors Players' Theatre (Wales) and a new team, Cwmni Ennyn Awaken Productions from Aberystwyth.

We will also see the latest offerings from Woodhouse Players, Saint Monica's Players, Tiger Theatrical Productions, Out of Ideas, Based On A True Story, Drama Queens and Big Squirrel Productions, as well as the Barn Theatre Club.

At the end of each evening the adjudicator, Paul Fowler, GoDA (Guild of Drama Adjudicators) will give his thoughts on each play. After the performances and adjudication on Saturday we hold the Awards Ceremony where the winner of the Welwyn Cup will be announced, along with a number of other awards.

Performances commence at 7.30pm Monday through Friday, and 7pm Saturday.
