Trestle Fun Palace
Trestle Arts Base will open its doors as a Fun Palace from 2-5pm on Sunday 5th October.
Together with students and staff from Beaumont School and other young people from the local area, we are planning an afternoon of art, dance, music and science activities for everyone aged 11-25. A great opportunity for young people in the local community to come together and take part in the event or just hang out and watch the fun ...it’s free!
If you’d like to get involved, run an activity or volunteer on the day, we’d love to hear from you.

About Fun Palaces
On 4 & 5 October 2014 over 100 Fun Palaces will pop up across the UK and globally, celebrating theatre director Joan Littlewood’s centenary and her vision shared with architect Cedric Price. Fun Palaces is a campaign for culture that everyone can join – combining arts and sciences, welcoming and free, at the heart of our communities (funpalaces.co.uk):
“Choose what you want to do – or watch someone else doing it. Learn how to handle tools, paint, babies, machinery, or just listen to your favourite tune. Dance, talk or be lifted up to where you can see how other people make things work. Sit out over space with a drink and tune in to what’s happening elsewhere in the city. Try starting a riot or beginning a painting – or just lie back and stare at the sky.” (Joan Litttlewood & Cedric Price)
