As The Crow Flies
As The Crow Flies is a four piece ensemble that began life in the early 90′s as a six piece rock band with folk, blues and classical influences. Jane Clarke (vocals/piano/tin whistle) and Clive Mills (guitars) were the main writers and arrangers of the original material.
They performed regularly in gigs in and around London including the Rock Garden, Hope and Anchor and several sold-out shows at the Old Bull Arts centre in Barnet. They have also performed individually and in various bands at the Brixton Academy, the Anvil Theatre and the Half moon Putney with several TV and film credits as well.
Their music is eclectic calling on a range of influences from folk, blues, classical to rock and was mentioned in a City Limits magazine article as “…impossible to describe accurately, a personal assessment is recommended.”
The songs are observations on life, family, relationships, concerns for the future of the planet we live on and Jane and Clive have not only re-arranged old repertoire but also written new material to include Angela Pulsford (violin) and Ellie White (cello/backing vocals).
An excellent evening’s musical entertainment is guaranteed.
