Date: 10 March 2018 - 10 March 2018
Saturday 10th March, 10am to 3pm
Kids in Museums Takeover Day, as part of BBC Civilisations Festival
As part of the BBC Civilisations Festival taking place across the UK during March, Torquay Museum will be taken over by local children who will be providing guided tours of the museum galleries as well as running a range of craft activities.
Discover what life was like in Ancient Egypt. Meet our boy mummy Psamtek, learn how to scribe hieroglyphics, make Egyptian jewellery and discover how the Egyptians made paint and the meaning of the different colours.
The tours and craft activities are suitable for families and children, and are free of charge with a valid museum entry ticket.
