To celebrate 'World Book Day', Torbay Museums (Brixham Heritage Museum, Torre Abbey Museum and Torquay Museum) will be hosting a weekend of events, tours, talks and presentations with the theme of 'Sharing Stories'
In partnership with Literature Works, a Talk by Dr Miriam Darlington
Dr Darlington is an author, journalist, and teacher of English and Creative Writing at Plymouth University. Her latest book 'Owl Sense', is about the human relationship with owls, published by Guardian Faber and was Radio 4's Book of the Week in February. Her Research interests include Travel writing, ecopoetry, nature writing, environment and conservation; wildlife writing; memoir, biography and creative nonfiction.
She will be sharing her experiences as a writer and the creative writing process. This event will be of interest to creative writers, as well as those with an interest in wildlife and nature.
