MURDER MYSTERY AT TORQUAY MUSEUM - THE CURSE OF AMENHOTEP
Torquay Museum is the unique setting for an exciting, fun and unusual Escape Room Murder Mystery evening in which you and your friends will explore its atmospheric and spooky galleries, crack the codes and solve the mystery of the body in the museum and the Curse of Amenhotep.
A murder has been committed in the Museum. A priceless Ancient Egyptian artefact has been stolen - the Stone of Amenhotep. Is this the infamous curse of Amenhotep or is it a robbery gone wrong? Follow the clues scattered throughout the dimly-lit museum, piece them together and solve the mystery.
Four teams of seven or eight people will work against the clock to sift through the evidence scattered across the Museum's galleries, surrounded by a fascinating assortment of Ancient Egyptian artefacts, a human mummy, Agatha Christie manuscripts, sabre-toothed tiger skulls, and much more. At the end of the evening the teams will come together to see which is the first to solve the mystery.
There will be two chances to experience the Museum’s Escape Room Murder Mystery – one beginning at 6.30pm and the other at 8.30pm on Saturday 9th December. This fun brain-teasing evening would be ideal for singles, groups of friends or colleagues. Don’t worry if your group doesn’t number 7 or 8 people as the Museum will put people into teams.
This is the second Escape Room Murder Mystery at Torquay Museum - with the first one attracting universal praise from the guests who exercised their brains and had so much fun solving the mystery of the Curse of Amenhotep. BBC television's Spotlight programme even broadcast live from our first murder mystery.
Tickets are £25 each, but please note that places are very limited and sell fast, so early booking is highly recommended. Reserve your tickets by calling the Museum on: 01803 293975.
Torquay Museum’s Escape Room Murder Mystery evenings are run by experienced Exeter-based escape room specialists Red House Mysteries.
