Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust

Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust local conservation charity

We are a local, independent charity dedicated to looking after Torbay’s wildlife, countryside, coast and heritage.

We manage 1750 acres of country parks, nature reserves, woodland, farmland and coastline in Torbay. Our main sites include:

Berry Head, Brixham - a 100-acre National Nature Reserve, holding some nationally rare plant and animal species. The site holds two well-preserved Napoleonic War-era Forts and important Second-World War heritage and lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the South West Coast Path.

Cockington Country Park, Torquay - the Domesday Book village of Cockington has hardly changed through the centuries. Come and visit the 17th century manor house set within 450 acres of Country Park. Entry is free and you can lose yourself here for a whole day! Open daily all year round.

Occombe Farm - an organic working farm on the edge of Paignton. Occombe has a 2km easy-access nature trail, education centre, award-winning farm shop and cafe featuring the best of local food, together with an in-house organic butchery and organic artisan bakery. We are open to the public all year round and entry is free.

We host a variety of events across our sites throughout the year, visit our sites in the Creative Torbay directory, or visit our website, to see what's coming up soon.
