Youngsters can have ‘SCRAPtastic’ fun at Tolson Museum this Easter.
On Thursday, 13 April, fairandfunky will be bringing their popular family workshop to the museum on Wakefield Road, Huddersfield. The aim is to create Easter-themed crafts using recycled materials.
There are two sessions, 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm, and the cost is £3.50 per person. No need to book.
fairandfunky is a Holmfirth-based community interest group which promotes recycling, the environment and Fairtrade.
“SCRAPtastic workshops only use recycled materials and encourage children to think about the importance of looking after the environment around them” Helen, from fairandfunky told us, “We’re excited about using the exhibits and gardens at The Tolson Museum to inspire this Easter SCRAPtastic!”
• Also over Easter, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt in the museum in Ravensknowle Park. Children have to find the Easter eggs hidden around the museum and solve the puzzle to win a small chocolate prize. The hunt is on 12noon-5pm from Saturday 8 to Sunday 23 April and is free.
