RE-PAIR: Holey Jumpers with Holly

Turn moth-nibbled holes, snags and worn patches into a feature using some basic embroidery stitches!

Transform what was previously a flaw in a garment - such as a hole or stain - into a beautiful eye-catching addition to the original garment with some simple embroidery stitches. This repair technique, also known as ‘Visible Mending’, is a valuable skill to add to your mending knowledge base. Holly will show you some embroidery stitches perfect for covering up small imperfections, such as french knots, lazy daisies and satin stitch.

Sewing Skill Level: Beginner

You’ll need: a garment you’d like to repair or embellish

Materials included: embroidery thread, needles, thimbles, scissors
Healthy & Safety: during the workshop everyone will have their own materials and tools. Sanitiser and disinfectant will be available. If you feel unwell please let us know and stay home. We’d ask people to wear face masks unless medically exempt. The workshop is on the top floor of the FairTrader, which is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Course conditions:the workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 7 days before the event however after that no refund can be given. Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop starts, unless previously discussed.
