With Ruth Adams
Learn the techniques involved in creating contemporary stained glass window following the method of Mark Chagall, who produced windows for the cathedrals of Reims and Metz, windows for the UN, and the Jerusalem Windows in Israel. Over three days you will explore Chagall’s glasswork, his design and use of colour, looking at breath-taking examples for inspiration to design your own piece.
For participants of all levels of expertise.
Chagall was an early inspiration for Ruth's own journey in coloured glass and light. She was trained at Central Saint Martins to postgraduate level in advanced studies stained glass under Patrick Reyntiens, Amal Ghosh and Caroline Swash. As an artist and passionate educator she has taught all aspects of stained glass in London's City Literary Institute and CSM and now currently at SGS Stroud College and Creative Glass Guild, Bristol. Ruth was a pupil at Dartington Hall School and is delighted to bring the foundation of this beautiful craft back to Dartington.
