In just one weekend you will learn the basic skills of furniture making as you take on the upholstery of a double foot stool. This class is suitable for absolute beginners, you will learn how to identify and use various upholstery tools, learn the basic principles of how to upholster furniture and identify which fabrics and paints to use and practice measuring up and cutting out.
You will come away from this weekend workshop with a handmade foot stool measuring 20" x 20" x 10", complete with the beautiful decorative deep buttoning technique made famous by Chesterfield and their marvellous timeless sofa's, feeling a high sense of achievement, having learned an age old traditional skill and with the confidence to continue your new practice.
