The film is based on the First World War memoir by Vera Brittain, which was a bestseller on publication, heralded as the voice of a generation and has become the classic testimony of that war, from a woman’s point of view.

This new film by director James Kent is a powerful and beautiful dramatisation of Brittain’s life’s work. Starring Kit Harington, Alicia Vikander, Emily Watson and Miranda Richardson.
