Lysistrata
Adapted by David Stuttard after Aristophanes. Directed by Tamsin Shasha.
Nationally acclaimed Actors of Dionysus are back on the road this with their unique take on Greek drama with their no holds barred comedy. Follow our heroine, Lysistrata, and the women of Greece in their (not always heartfelt!) battle to deny their men sex in order to stop a bloody war. As tensions mount, frustrations erupt, and events reach bursting point. See who wins and if peace is restored in this high octane, hugely enjoyable and absurdist version of Aristophanes’ masterpiece.
‘a slick, hilariously funny show which rattles along at high speed on the strength of fine ensemble work from its cast of five’ The Stage
‘aod....making Greek Tragedy seriously sexy’ The Guardian
Suitable for 14+ (contains strong language and some comic scenes of an adult nature).
The show starts at 8pm. £13, £11 concession, £10 Dacorum Card, £5 UpStaged
