Jesse Eisenberg and Kirsten Stewart star in Woody Allen’s charming and witty period romantic comedy. In the 1930s, Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Eisenberg) is lured by the glamour of Hollywood. His name-dropping bigshot movie star agent uncle Phil (Steve Carell) sets up the gauche young man with a low-level job and assigns secretary Vonnie (Kristen Stewart) to show him around.
Bobby soon falls for Vonnie, but she cools his ardour by telling him that she already has a boyfriend. Back in New York, broken-hearted Bobby is put in charge of a swanky nightclub by his ruthless gangster brother Ben (Corey Stoll). But fate still has another twist in store for him.
