Exhibition: Camilla Bignall

Camilla Bignall is a ceramic artist with a penchant for making fish. Whilst initially intending to concentrate on human figures and birds, Camilla was caught "hook, line and sinker" after experimenting with a fish. Camilla's fish are slab built, mostly using a white stoneware clay, and finished in a variety of ways, including glazes, slips, paints, metal leaf and even nail varnish. Her three styles include: the more "realistic" designs, black and white African inspired designs and some abstract, smoke-fired pieces.
