National Youth Music Week.

The Devon Music Collective has been successful in getting funding to stage one of the only Youth Music weeks happening in the South West. Running from Saturday October 23rd to Sunday October 31st there will be a range of workshops, activities and events on offer at the DMC's base at the Lighthouse every day. Covering a range of genres from folk to rock and metal and dub step to trance and MC'ing the event is aimed at children and young people aged 5 to 18 years to excite a passion for music and creativity.

The DMC is looking for tutors to run music workshops. If you have a passion for your area of work or think you can bring something to the week that will get young people thinking about where they want to go musically get in touch. We are paying standard Arts Council hourly rates and are keen to embrace everything from noise experimentation to workshops that bring in the wider parts of the music industry like recording and production, radio and video / film.
