EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY: 'Get Fresh'

Exhibition: Saturday 15 January – Sunday 26 February 2011

Who: emerging designer-makers from the South West

Criteria: Graduated within last 3 years? Or self-taught and started within last 3 years? Resident in the South West? Working a craft area (including photography, printmaking & sculpture) and producing innovative, imaginative work coupled with a sensitive use of appropriate materials? Potential to achieve the highest standards of workmanship and design and clear sense of personal direction?

Aims: To celebrate and promote diverse and outstanding craftwork of emerging designer-makers from the South West (Bath, Bristol & Somerset, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire). ‘Get Fresh’ offers a showcase exhibition, support, sponsorship, awards and critical debate.
Submissions: A panel consisting of craft commentators, artists and designers along with Devon Guild exhibition staff will select exhibitors via digital image submissions.

Deadline: submit artist’s statement, CV and 6 digital images by 23 July 2010 to:
