Kantha Stitching - Hand Embroidery Course
Kantha stitching originated in South East Asia where precious fabrics and scraps were used to make relaxed but beautiful and, sometimes, intricate, quilts.
Kantha stitching uses a layering techniques using various fabrics, trimmings and in some cases screen printed images.
Join us to learn the basics of this intriguing and versatile craft and take away a panel that can be used as a hanging, cushion cover or the centrepiece of a quilt.
Skill Level Required: you should have good basic stitching skills.
All materials are provided including a printed image plus instructions on creating your own image.
If you would like to have your own image made up to use on the day, please send a good quality image to us via email and we will have it ready for use on the day (please allow 7 days).
Cost: £40 (£50 if using your own image)
