Volunteer at The Beehive

Would you like to work as part of The Beehive team?

We have a great group of friendly volunteers and we welcome anyone who feels they may have some spare time or skills that they are happy to share. Volunteering should be a two-way process – the volunteer enjoys the task and has rewards in seeing other people enjoying themselves; there is also the sense of achievement in using skills and in working with others. The Beehive is an attractive place in which to spend time and join the community.

Many people are in employment or have other commitments but there is a variety of volunteering opportunities that can fit around most of these. Our box office, cafe bar, front of house, projection, technical, publicity and administrative departments all operate with the support of volunteers. Our volunteers help with:

Box Office/Admin – 3-hour sessions (AM or PM), or evening 1-hour session
Stewarding – Flexible hours depending on the programme
Café/bar – Flexible hours
Film Projection/Technical – 3-hour sessions depending on programme
Building Set-up – depending on programme

Training is given in all areas.
