Free online course for Hertfordshire residents

For parents or carers of children aged 5 and under who want to help their child’s literacy skills.

On this online course you will learn how phonics, early reading and writing are taught in school and gain ideas on how to help children develop these skills at home. You will also learn how outdoor learning and messy play can benefit children’s learning.

This course is designed to be undertaken with your child, you will learn, and have projects, that you complete together.
