Face-to-face with Abbot John | Online Talk
There are only two figures from fifteenth-century England upon whose faces you can now gaze.
One of them is Richard III. The other - whose facial reconstruction is soon to be released - is our very own Abbot John of Wheathampstead. Join Prof James Clark to explore the story of Abbot John - from his life as a medieval abbot to his rediscovery, excavation and reconstruction in the 20th Century. More information to follow.
Professor Clark is the leading expert on Abbot John, and has been critical in the work contributing to the reconstruction of Abbot John's face. You'll be able to read his blog post on Abbot John from 10 September.
Speaker: Professor James Clark, University of Exeter
Date and time: Monday 21 September, 7.30-9pm. Participants will be able to join the event from 7pm.
