Letchworth in Minecraft

Come along and build Letchworth Garden City in the exciting Minecraft computer game!

Due to popular demand we are setting up to build and explore a new virtual version of Letchworth Garden City, this time with a focus on the diverse history of its shops!

This free event will complement our special display ‘Shopping in Letchworth’ being exhibited in the Community Museum. A celebration of over a hundred years of shopping in the town, there will be a mix of historical items to view from the Garden City Collection, and lots of interactive elements to get involved with.

Also this is part of our ‘Kids Activity Week’, along with local artist led workshops and storytelling sessions from 31st July – 5th August

For all to have their fair turn, intrepid Minecraft builders will need to book a timed session. Please book only one timed session per child.

Please also note that the Minecraft game is suitable for ages 7 and above and children must be accompanied by an adult. There will also be craft activities suitable for all ages.
