Scott Gleed Wildlife Sculpture / Tutor / 3D Modelmaker

I am based in Torquay and mainly sculpt wildlife species ,this is an area I have a great passion for. I am a self-taught sculptor and this in itself allows me to experiment with techniques and ideas outside of the formal learning boundaries. I mainly use polymer fillers with a rod skeleton and then resin patinate in metal powders, Bronze, Copper, Aluminium, and other finishes. I work with many conservation groups and Wildlife trusts.
I was a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition 2009, and have exhibited at the Mall Galleries London. I am on my 3rd Solo exhibition and have been artist in residence at Living Coasts in 2012. I am also a adult Tutor at South Devon College.
I also run Art, Sculpture, Moulding and casting workshops from my working studio.

New sculptures are an Osprey, Otters, Red Kites, and a selection of Whales and Sharks. Over the last 30 years I have been a freelance model maker, working with organisations such as the Imperial War Museum, National Marine Aquarium, The RAF, to name but a few. Having travelled the world my passion for conservation has developed into a way of life. This has now taken me down a new path sculpturing endangered and misunderstood species.
