World Heart Day Free Webinar In Conversation with Cardiac Expert

To celebrate World Heart Day, join us for a FREE one-hour webinar about how to prevent cardiovascular disease and improve heart health.

Head of Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Professor Barry Tolchard will be in discussion with two cardiac experts - Professor Felicity Astin and Dr Karthik Viswanathan.

Professor Barry Tolchard is the Head of Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Huddersfield.

Professor Felicity Astin is Professor of Nursing and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. She has a joint role working in the School of Human and Health Sciences and Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in understanding the patient experience of living with heart disease. Felicity is going to talk to us about what we can do to live a heart healthy lifestyle.

Dr Karthik Viswanathan is a consultant cardiologist working at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. He manages patients across the full spectrum of cardiac illnesses and specialises in managing abnormal heart rhythms and implanting specialist devices such as pace makers to help correct abnormalities.
