Exhibition at The Flavel Centre, Dartmouth

It has become the trend to harness the energy of the sea and with this latest exhibition at the Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth I aim to capture this energy in my work. Don’t expect tranquil azure waters or clear blue skies. Instead you will find a force of nature, as I conduct the power of the sea onto canvas!

Capturing the moment is a large triptych named "Storm" which was based on a stormy January day observing the waves crashing on the shore at Slapton Sands. In mapping the ebb and flow of the tide on the shore in "Breaking Waves", transferring the moment by brushwork, I can sense again the elements around me on that day.
