Workshop: Mughal Painting, Bagshaw Museum (session 2)

Tickets: Free
Time: 3pm - 4pm
(8+)
Mughal painting is a style of South Asian, particularly North Indian painting. They were miniature by design (many not more than a few square inches), brightly coloured, and highly detailed paintings, mostly used to illustrate manuscripts and art books. Despite their tiny sizes, they are incredibly precise, with some lines painted using a single hair.
These workshops will help you re-create a stained-glass window type of effect (using permanent pens on acetate) of a Mughal painting. You will be able to embellish the frame with symmetrical early Islamic tile designs to give your picture the finishing touches.
