Serena Patel, author of the Anisha, Accidental Detective series, talks about how she became an author, where she gets her inspiration from and what it’s like to write a book. She will read from her latest book and take audience questions.

Her first and second books in the Anisha, Accidental Detective series were published in 2020 and the third in the series, Granny Trouble, is out this summer. The series is made up of mystery stories about family and friendship – and there’s a lobster, a rat, exploding volcanos and missing grooms. Serena especially enjoys writing characters who are a bit weird and wacky – and are always getting themselves into trouble!
