Poetry Island at the Blue Walnut
Tonight's headliner is Rose Cook. One of the most loved poets around, Rose regularly appears in the South West and beyond.
She has taken her poetry to the Soho Theatre in London, the Dartington Ways With Words Literature Festival, Plymouth and Exeter Arts Centres, Exeter Cathedral and Radio Devon. In 2000 the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra performed 'The Clock of the Long Now', which featured Rose's poetry.
Her work has been published extensively in poetry magazines and anthologies. Her chapbook, Everyday Festival was published in 2009,and Rose's first full collection 'Taking Flight' was published by Oversteps Books.
Also appearing will be some of the finest poets of the South West, including Joanna Hatfull, Tom Austin, Chris Brooks and your host, Robert Garnham.
