Pots and Prints

Hitchin artists Simon Abbott and Ben Evenett are taking over the Dot to Dot gallery for the next few weeks with their exhibition 'Prints and Pots'. Simon is exhibiting prints and collages and Ben, his hand-thrown ceramic pots and sculpture. The artists met when they were both illustration students at Southampton Solent University and have been collaborating and responding to each others work ever since.

All the work on display has all been created in the last year, since the pair moved to Hitchin and began sharing a flat. Before the show Simon explained "We've been influenced by each other in the use of colour and shape, so are looking forward to seeing how everything interacts".

Simon and Ben are not new to Dot to Dot, Simon exhibited here in January 2014 and both Simon and Ben were part of the Underwater exhibition put on by Art School Disco in April 2014.

Ben is a Digswell Fellow, working at the studios at The Farmhouse in Stevenage and Simon a Digswell 'print member'. They are both members of the arts collective Art School Disco.

The prints and pots are all for sale, prices between £10.00-£65.00.
