Alphabet Soup

It's April and we welcome our new artist in residence Katie Allen with a show entitled 'Alphabet Soup'. Katie, a Croydon girl who has put down roots in Bedford, describes herself as a clunky, messy, grainy, scrappy illustrator who loves texture and hand drawn typography. Her tools of the trade are crayons, Indian ink and biros. She collates and refines her work digitally, a process which is heavily inspired by a love of printmaking found at university. Come and see how Katie has transformed our gallery with her fresh and vibrant work.

Katie is a founding member of arts collective Art School Disco, and has exhibited worldwide. She is an active member of the Circus of Illustration.

The exhibition consists of affordable art prints, one offs, new and old work; a true Alphabet Soup!
