Street performers/ Musicians

Promenade Promotions & Exeter University are seeking 4 young, professional performers for a project exploring seaside entertainment which will tour for 2 weeks in June/July 2010 along the South West coast .
The project aims to explore and develop historic forms of seaside entertainment - in particular the ‘costumed concert party’.
We are looking for 4 emerging performers from the South West who are keen to explore the technique and theory of British clowning. You will need to be a strong physical performer with a good singing voice and at least a basic ability to play an instrument. Improvisation skills are essential, as is an aptitude for collaborative devising. Experience of outdoor/street theatre is preferable.

There will be 2 weeks of rehearsal & 2 weeks of performance, all paid at £375 per week.
Rehearsals will take place in Exeter for 2 weeks (21st June – 2nd July), with performances 5th – 16th July.
Auditions will be held at Exeter University on Friday 26th March.
