Sophie Hulf explores biology, psychology and how these elements interact in this collection of work that spans a year in residency at the Phoenix. We are all a body with a voice inside. It is the matter that connects us, a metaphor of feeling and at times a disobedient outline. We are empowered by the advantages of our biology and implemented by its shortcomings, each adding to the tapestry of experience that is our body and relationship within it. Vessel questions the duality between identity and anatomy with a playfulness that seeks to open conversation.
