Visitors can enjoy free admission to historic Oakwell Hall in Birstall on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September for national Heritage Open Weekend.
Heritage Open Weekend celebrates Britain’s rich and diverse history and culture by giving the public the opportunity to visit hidden places, enjoy new experiences or visit properties free of charge that normally charge admission.
Oakwell Hall, Nova Lane, Birstall, will be waiving its normal admission charges over the weekend so visitors can explore the Grade I Listed Elizabethan manor house which is furnished as a family home of the 1690s.
Sunday 16 September will also feature music from the Nonsuch Dulcimers and the Friends of Oakwell demonstrating and encouraging visitors to have a go at traditional crafts.
The Hall will be open both days from12 noon to 4pm.
