About the course
Assertive communication skills
Assertiveness is an important skill in life. It enables us to express our needs to others and assert important boundaries, and make choices in our lives. This 3 session course of 2 hours each session explores different communication styles, and gives you an opportunity to think about how you commonly communicate and how this is working for you. There is a practical focus with the opportunity to try out assertiveness skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Aims and Objectives.
Understand what assertiveness is, what it is not and think about your own communication style
Understand when might you choose to be assertive
Learn and practise some assertiveness tools
